A letter to my 1year old son

Dear Darric
Now that you are one year old, you are not totally a baby, but entering to the phase of toddler. So, what's the different? As this posting, you may only read when you reach certain age, so, i guess it's necessary for mummy to explain further.

When you are considered a baby, you are totally dependent on other people, to feed you, to dress and undress you, to bath you, to put you to sleep. Now when you are going to be a toddler, some of these activities you have to do it on your own, by yourself. Mummy will expect you to be able to hold your milk bottle for every feed, to put it on the table upon finishing your milk; to be able to sleep on your own or with Daryl, your big brother. These are two of those few activities i believe you can do well.

Meanwhile, when now you are a toddler, mummy will expect to have some quiet time for myself, doing my reading or writing blog. So, please learn to accept the fact that in our family, you have to adapt to our way and not only your way. You can always show us who you are, your character, your opinion and your idea, but we will truly appreciate if you can observe some of these house rules we have set even before you've arrived in this home.

Mummy and Papa love you and Daryl very much, therefore we believe it's necessary to train both our sons to be a useful person starting from young.

And now that you're 1 year old, Happy Birthday to you! We will always love you and be there for you, good and bad times.

Lovingly always, Mummy

Letter to my first love

Dear Daryl
How are you?
I want to tell you about your name. You have a beautiful name. We named you DARYL GUNN BING.
Your name has a meaning. When you were a baby, you were such adorable, beautiful and cute.
You are very special to us. Mummy flipped through all books and find your name.
“DARYL” means darling, it means someone very special.
“GUNN” is your surname or last name. You are child of Gunn family, to show that you are daddy’s son.
“BING” means you are good at both study and sports.
Your name is given by mummy and daddy so it is very important.
We cannot control what other people wants to say about us.
Some people like to laugh at people weaknesses and like some of your classmates, like to laugh at your name or call you kambing. So, you ask yourself, are these people important to you? What kind of people are they? Good people or bad people? If they are not important, just let them be because one day other people will laugh at them.
We control our THOUGHTS, We take c,are of our FEELING.

Daryl, remember, when you have family and people who love you and whom you love, other people is not important if they laugh at you.
You tell them,
“STOP LAUGHING. I HAVE A SPECIAL NAME AND MY PARENTS GIVE ME THAT SPECIAL NAME BECAUSE I AM SPECIAL”

I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU. I SHARE
From your first love
